Initiative Implementation Guidelines

Ensure all initiative communications (print and advertising) uphold the University’s reputation and standing.
Each initiative shall be supervised by a college faculty member or administrator.
All initiative print materials (publications/brochures) must be cleared by the Unit Head prior to publication.
All initiatives must be emailed to the Unit no later than four (4) weeks before the proposed date of implementation.
External partnerships shall be conducted in full compliance with University regulations.
A post-initiative report must be emailed to the Unit within two (2) weeks of completion.
Each initiative shall include a beneficiaries’ feedback survey; results must be incorporated into the final report to the Volunteer Work Coordinator.

Rights of Volunteers and Participants in Community Initiatives

To be informed of the activity’s objectives and intended outcomes.
Specify the roles, responsibilities, and expected conduct of the volunteer/participant
Provide a clear description of the assignments given to the volunteer/participant and the expectations.
Assign each volunteer/participant tasks that match their abilities and capabilities.
Clarify the time required of the volunteer/participant to be spent on the selected initiatives.
Treat the volunteer/participant with respect and provide them the trust to carry out the agreed-upon tasks and responsibilities.
