Faculty of Sport Sciences

The College of Sport Sciences at the University of Jeddah was established with the aim of providing university education in various branches of sport sciences to qualify both male and female students. The College offers high-quality academic programs in the field of sport sciences, equipping students with the necessary professional skills to excel in the labor market and achieve a competitive advantage both locally and regionally. This aligns the educational outcomes with the needs of the job market and the quality standards required of graduates. Additionally, the College seeks to promote scientific research in different specializations to contribute effectively to community service.

The College of Sport Sciences at the University of Jeddah was established by the decision of His Excellency, the President of the University, No. (1131-05-40) dated 30/05/1440 AH.

At the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University of Jeddah, we are committed to providing an educational environment and a research and innovation system to prepare a generation of specialists, leaders and entrepreneurs with innovative skills for the sports future, who contribute to the indicators of GDP and participate in enhancing the quality of life of the community

College Objectives:

To prepare and qualify specialists in the field of sport sciences to meet the needs of the labor market.

    We are proud of our College of Sport Sciences student (Sports Training program) for her achievements in karate: University of Jeddah Olympiad — 1st place. Universities Championship 2025. First Group Qualifiers for the Premier League — 2nd place. Saudi Elite Championship 2024.
    Wasan Ahmed Al-Zahrani
    A taekwondo athlete for Al-Ittihad Club and the Saudi national team, and a Sports Management student at the College of Sport Sciences. He has earned 46 national-level medals and has participated in international camps and championships with the Saudi national team. He serves on the Athletes’ Committee of the Saudi Taekwondo Federation and is part of the Gifted Students Program at the University of Jeddah.

    The University of Jeddah, through the College of Sport Sciences (Coaching major | Gifted Program), is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of its student Osama Khaled Masrahi, a Saudi national-team athlete in track and field and swimming. Key achievements World silver medalist in the 100m and 200m. Asian champion in the 100m and 200m. GCC (Gulf) champion in the 100m and 200m. Saudi No. 1 for nine consecutive years in the 100m and 200m. GCC swimming champion in the 25m freestyle and 50m freestyle. The College of Sport Sciences affirmed that these results reflect Masrahi’s dedication and discipline, and align with the University’s commitment to nurturing exceptional talent through its Gifted Program.

    The College of Sports Science (Sports Management Department) is proud of the following Para Athletics championships: He won Gold in 100m and Gold in 200m at the Sharjah International Para Athletics Meet, UAE 2024. He won Gold in 100m and Silver in 200m , Poland International Para Athletics Meet,July 2024. He set a new personal best in the 100 m at the West Asia Para Athletics Championships, UAE — September 2024.

    We are proud of our student, taekwondo athlete Jawaher Jalal Hasan Ata Al-Mohammad (Sport Management – College of Sport Sciences). She participated in the Saudi Games Finals held in Riyadh in the women’s −57 kg category, after winning the 2024 Saudi Games qualifying matches. She won first place at the 2025 Saudi National Championship in Taif in the women’s −57 kg category. She won third place at the 2024 Saudi National Championship held in Dammam in the women’s −53 kg category.
